Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Eczemine application (“App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the App and uninstall it.

2. Use of the App

The App is intended solely for personal skin-related tracking. You may not use the App for illegal, harmful, or unauthorized purposes. Reverse-engineering, modifying, reselling, redistributing, or bypassing security mechanisms is strictly prohibited.

3. Health Disclaimer

Eczemine is a personal tracking tool and is not a medical device. The App does not diagnose, prevent, cure, or treat eczema, dermatitis, allergies, infections, or any medical condition. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for diagnosis, treatment, or interpretation of symptoms and images.

4. Intellectual Property

All design, branding, code, images, UI elements, features, and assets within the App are the property of Hamdan Basri and protected under intellectual property laws. No part of the App may be copied, reverse-engineered, modified, or redistributed without written permission.

5. User-Generated Data

You may enter and store information such as meals, reactions, symptoms, medications, moods, and other notes. You are solely responsible for the data you input and its accuracy.

The App allows you to optionally capture reaction photos. Images are processed locally (including stitching and Base64 encoding) and stored either:

locally on your device (offline mode), or
securely in your private Firebase account if you sign in (cloud mode).

6. Optional Cloud Features

Eczemine includes optional cloud syncing using Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore. When enabled:

Your data is stored in your private Firebase account.
The developer does not access or manage your data.
Your email address is used solely for authentication.

7. Family Groups

The App offers optional “Family Group” functionality. If you create or join a family group:

the family admin may view member logs, including reaction images;
all access is restricted to your chosen private group;
you are responsible for managing invitations and permissions within your group.

The developer has no access to family group data and cannot view, restore, or intervene in group content.

8. Permissions

The App may request the following permissions:

Camera: Used solely for capturing reaction photos upon user request.
Photo & Media Access: Used when selecting images from your gallery (if supported).
Internet: Required for Firebase syncing and external links.
Vibrate: Used for optional haptic feedback features.

Permissions are used strictly for functionality initiated by the user.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. The developer does not warrant accuracy, reliability, uptime, compatibility, or completeness of any App feature or data. The developer is not responsible for:

loss of data,
incorrect tracking entries,
misinterpretation of logs or images,
health decisions made based on App data,
service interruptions or Firebase outages.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the App, including issues resulting from:

inaccurate self-tracked information,
technical failures,
loss of reaction images or logs,
data sync failures or unintended family sharing,
health outcomes based on self-evaluation.

11. Third-Party Services

The App uses Firebase Authentication and Firestore for optional cloud syncing. These services are governed by Google’s terms and privacy policies. The App does not use advertising SDKs, tracking frameworks, or behavioral analytics.

12. Updates and Modifications

Features may change, expand, or be removed without prior notice. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
